Something Old, Something New

So, I have decided to keep this blogger page, for now. I like having a separation between my reflective page and this informative page. I have a few things to report, so let's get going.

Last night was the night of emails. I sent out one lengthy letter to everyone, preparing them for the next phase of this psycho circus. It looks like Bleodsian will be ready soon, and Mommy's Gone Crazy is back on track. I have the second edition printed and ready for review. Keep your fingers crossed that it's an easy one!

I decided to hand the Gothic Angel photo to Lizzie. I want to see what she can do. She has my instructions, and I am anxious to behold her work. She has had little "air time" since the Witch House photo. I think this will be good, and I am excited about it. She has talent, and I want to see her exhibit that talent in the shoot.

Bleodsian is in the hands of the last Beta Reader; moment of truth. All who have reviewed it have spoken highly of it. The work is strong and solid, with a message that will gnaw at the psyche (or, at least that is the goal). So far, the reviews have not disappointed me. Look for the book soon. 

Sometimes, I wonder why I do what I do? Do I seek glory from my works; financial security; freedom; or do I yearn for something more? I would like to think that, within me, there is a story to tell, a tale which must be heard. My works, they must have purpose, meaning; if  they do not, then I have failed my audience, myself, and the ones who rely upon me to tell their sagas of woe and pain. I don't want to write a story that has no meaning. I do not want to write any cheap drama; what I create must be of my nature and of myself. It must be a part of me.

The Beast Is Awakening

My crazy work load has finally come to an end, and now it is summer vacation for the university. I can't say I will miss the craziness. It was a busy time, and with its passing, I can now focus on my writings once again. I have heard it: the beast is awakening.

I have awesome news to report: that magician Aaron has pulled from his bag of tricks a most amazing cover. As you heard earlier, his first attempts were good, but I was looking for something different. When I saw the final edits, all I could do was stare in awe.

I would love to share the picture with you, but I can't upload it with this stupid Blogger app. I have actually grown to despise the blogger app. I am seriously cosidering abolishing my blogger page. No one reads it and it is a waste of my time. The Word Press blog is where I can reflect on my stories and get into some really good topics. This is nothing but my day puked up on screen, every little detail a chunk of something. Look for this thing to die soon.

Look for the cover on Facebook. I posted it last night and will continue to do so throughout this week. I love the cover. It will look awesome when it is uploaded. Our next step is to re-tool Bleodsian for Smashwords. We will be uploading it as soon as it is read one last time. A few tweeks and then it will hit the world.

Brief Monday Update

I am trying to keep this a little more regular. I know everyone comes here hoping for something new and fresh. Hell, I'd be happy if I could just post more than once a week. I am trying, believe me. I have a little more free time coming my way now, so hopefully I will get more work done. 

Ok, let's see...still no editing, so stop asking. Still no e-covers, so stop asking about that, too. I do have them, but I have not done anything with them, yet. I will move on that shortly, perhaps tonight. Still no uploading. You know, I have not done crap on any of my works! I thought I was making some progress (I don't know how), but now that I am looking this all over, I have accomplished shit! But you know what? The rest has been nice. 

Wait a minute! I wrote a blog for wordpress the other day, and I picked up more followers there and on twitter! Hey, now that's something to talk about. I am putting more emphasis on the wordpress site. If you have not read it yet, on that blog I reflect on my writings and illustrate plot ideas, the background history of how the story came into being, theologies and philosophies found in the work, and so forth. As opposed to here, where I chart my course to publication, there I get a chance to really share my works and the dark thoughts behind them. Check it out at http://robertperry2012.wordpress.com. 

I have been doing well with my platforming, though I need more group affiliation. Small groups are the key to success in an endeavor like this. I belong to one through facebook, and it is very good. Writer's Digest lists several others I will look at soon. Other than that, everything is coming along smoothly. Here's to good luck!

Friday Update

This is my third and last attempt at this damned entry. I hate technology. I really believe people lived longer and had more fruitful and happy lives without this shit. Am I enjoying my day off? Am I reading and relaxing? No, my damned bloodpressure is through the roof! Shit! Why can't things just be simple?

Alright, enough. Not much has changed here. Not much ever really changes. I'm still editing and working on the ecovers, which look really good. Lady is getting The Witch House uploaded on Smashwords. Maybe then my work will actually get out there and someone will actually buy my stuff! lol

Aaron is getting the edited copies of the Bleodsian cover completed. They look really good so far. I will have to decide soon what I want and let him know. I want Bleodsian to have an awesome cover, as it is the flagship of this whole endeavor. That story deserves a good cover. And I believe it will have one.

Well, that is all for now. Everything is moving at a snale's pace these days. It's very discouraging....
